PALMYRA, NY - VILLAGE BOOKMARKET

 

Village Bookmarket is located at 207 East Main Street in historic Palmyra, New York, just up the hill from the Erie Canal.

 

Palmyra and Wayne County, New York, are rich is history, and smack-dab in the middle of everything.  Lake Ontario to the north, the Finger Lakes to the south, the city of Rochester to the west, and the city of Syracuse to the east.  We are within easy driving distance of the Adirondacks, the Catskills, Buffalo / Niagara Falls, and the Southern Tier of New York State.

 

      I am a life long reader and book lover.  I was given the wonderful opportunity of opening my own bookshop in the spring of 2007 when a local bookseller decided to give up her store front for personal reasons.  My predecessor, Beth, closed in July and I opened a couple of weeks later on Wednesday, August 8, 2007.

 

     I was fortunate to be able to obtain Beth's store front, phone number for the shop, and LOTS of advise and guidance from Beth.  This is a wonderful occupation with so many interesting books to see and things to learn.
